Think Pink Week

Throughout the first week of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ZTA hosts a campus wide event called "Think Pink Week." There is an event every day that ZTA puts on to help raise awareness. We begin the week "pinking out" the campus by tying pink ribbons around trees and having a Rememberance Wall where students of the University of Arkansas can write In Honor or In Memory of a loved one. The Zeta house is highlighted with pink lighting during this week. To bring the week to a close, we have a Pink Pancake dinner open to all students for $5. This week is very important to us because although we are having fun we are also raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education. We are proud to say we raised over $39,000 towards our philanthropy in just one week!

Kiss Away Cancer

Our Kiss Away Cancer Booth is done each year on Valentine's Day. We set up tables around the Student Union and various cafeterias. We sell chocolate kisses or a kiss on the cheek for $1 each. We always have a great turnout and enjoy having a fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day while also promoting a serious cause.

In addition to our major philanthropic events, we host smaller events to promote breast cancer awareness. These events range from passing out pink ribbon pins around campus and the community to having different sporting events participate in a "Pink Out" game.
